He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He was conferred an IBF Fellow (Financial Planning) in 2021. Allen is a faculty of IFPAS HNW Certification Program and SCI's Diploma in Personal Financial Planning and Chartered Financial Consultant courses
Angelina Hing has extensive experience in the legal field. In the early years of her career, Angelina was an established litigator, handling high-value corporate disputes. She is also an Attorney and Counsellor at Law, in the courts of the State of New York. She is an accredited Principle Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and sits on the Family Panel of the SMC. She is also appointed Adjudicator at the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre Limited (FIDREC)
Linda is one of the Founder Members of the Group. She is a graduate of Monash University, Australia, with a Bachelor of Economics degree majoring in Accountancy. She was trained as an Auditor with one of the top 4 auditing firms. She went on to join the hospitality industry as an accountant before moving on to the trust business. She was attached with a global independent Trust company for 15 years, where her last position held was as Managing Director of the Singapore office with more than 50 employees and the office had asset under administration of well over USD100 million. She is also the Resident Manager of Kensington Trust Singapore Limited.
Lionel Lau is Director and Co-Founder of First Business Advisory Pte Ltd. He is a Fellow member with Association of Certified Chartered Accountants United Kingdom with over 15 years of experience in Business Outsourcing and Commercial Finance. Previously Director at RSM Singapore, the largest tax and audit firm in Singapore outside the Big-4, he led teams in corporate finance advisory and accounting services for companies in various industries ranging from F&B, Retail, Education, Manufacturing, Payment Services and Fintech companies. He subsequently headed finance teams in both MNCs (Financial Institution) and start-ups, spearheading regulatory reporting projects, business products pricing review, cross border reporting, funding and investment pitches to investors. A native Singaporean, Lionel started his career in 2004 with Stone Forest AccountServe where he stayed ten years.
Louise Gan is a Branch Director at Finexis advisory Pte Ltd. Where she manage a team of advisors and advises affluent and high net worth individuals locally and in the region on their key man and estate planning needs. She is also a Director that drive the High Net Worth (HNW) business for firm’s advisory teams with a focus on investment and legacy creation Louise managed collaboration with HNW product providers and devise initiatives for firm and conduct joint field work with advisers to coach & ensure proper explanation of HNW value propositions and solutions. Louise helps to grow the regional corporate referral business and strategic alliance with Bank partners and Trust companies for HNW business. She also manage majority of the sales teams with full responsibilities of their recruitment and sales targets
Masagoes (or 'Mas' as he is usually referred to) is a Consultant with the Practice. He graduated from the University of London in 1984 with a LL.B. Honours and was called to the English Bar as a Barrister of Lincoln's Inn in July 1985. The following year, he was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor and immediately started his legal practice in the areas involving both civil and commercial litigation, company and commercial law, criminal law, family law, Muslim law and vehicle and industrial claims. As a Solicitor, he has advised clients on all types of claims, drew up many types of agreements, dealt with wills & trusts, probates and administration of estates, Shariah, Corporate and Conveyancing matters.
Patrick Tan, TEP is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fortis Law Corporation. His areas of practice include general litigation and arbitration, wealth management, real estate and private client matters. He is a Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, as well as an accredited Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre. Patrick obtained his LL.B. (Hons) at the Nottingham University, where he received top honours, clinching several academic awards in land law, company law and partnership law.
Damien is the Business Director of Aris Prime Partners Asset Management Pte. Ltd. He is responsible for developing and building new distribution channels in the private placement environment. Prior to this, he was managing the a team of relationship manager and Bancassurance business development in UOB. Damien has 10 years' experience in banking and insurance, with roles focusing on sales, sales management and account management.
Victor, a Personal Wealth Director, a TOT Top Advisor, has for the past 20 years been serving Mandarin speaking clients from mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. He found great success in his work particularly in providing estate and financial planning to Mandarin speakers in the region. He is today a regular guest speaker on various Mandarin media ranging from Channel 8, Good Morning Singapore to Hello Singapore, Capital 958FM, 963FM where he speaks on Parenting, Business Succession, Estate Administration and Financial planning topics.
Seow Ling is especially interested in formulating sustainable estate planning solutions for singles, families with special needs members, and elderly individuals. To better support these groups, Seow Ling was appointed in the first batch of professionals registered under the Professional Deputy and Donee scheme in 2018. She is passionate about representing the interests of individuals who do not have family members to rely on to be their proxy decision makers, and working with families that require professional assistance to handle the assets of their loved ones. Familiar with the intricacies and sensitivity of family disputes, Seow Ling has handled cases involving contested estate, mental capacity, divorce and child custody matters. She is an accredited mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and strongly believes that better outcomes can be achieved through mediation, by facilitating communication during negotiations and exploring the interests of parties to reach amicable resolutions that are workable and sustainable. Fluent in Mandarin, Seow Ling has been invited by various organisations, including SPED schools, Ministry of Manpower, Central Provident Fund Board and the Special Needs Trust Company Limited, to share her knowledge and experience on estate planning in the language.
We wrote the ultimate book on estate planning for the modern family. We brought together 30 practitioners from 12 countries to cover a broad range of family, business and cross-border topics.
We created the CLPA program with the ambition to transform the financial planning industry. Through CLPA, we envision a future where every family has a proper estate plan that is adequately funded, is continually updated and brings peace and joy to families.
We co-authored this book with Adam Khoo, teaching parents what and how to tell their children about money.
We created the Financial Literacy for the Young programme to further assist parents and their children set out with good money habits to take into the future.
